2025 CMS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUT FORM

  **DEADLINE TO SIGN UP & HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL TURNED IN IS THURSDAY, APRIL 24 BY 2:40 PM**


WHEN: April 28 - April 30
WHERE: CMS GYM
TIME: 3:00- 5:00 PM. You must be picked up no later than 5:15pm.
             YOU MUST COME TO ALL DAYS OF TRYOUTS.

REQUIRED TO TRYOUT:
* Complete the CMS Volleyball Tryout Google Form
* Turn in a current AHSAA Physical (Forms are available on the CMS Volleyball page or the CMS Front Office)
   - Turn in all physicals to the CMS Front Office or Coach Gaston by Thursday, April 24, 2:40 PM.
   - No student will be allowed to tryout without a current, up-to-date physical.

 

Other Information: 

* Wear shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes.
* Bring water.
* Be in good standing with the school in terms of grades & behavior.
*Tryouts are closed. No parents or spectators may be present.

AHSAA Physical Form
For middle school volleyball tryouts, I look at a combination of fundamental skills, athleticism, and team attitude. Key skills are serving (underhand or overhand), setting, hitting, and court awareness. I also look at players attitude, communication skills, and volleyball IQ.  Your teachers will be sent an evaluation to give feedback on your character and conduct, as well as grades. This will be used for the overall evaluation of everyone trying out.
